As a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, Calvary Baptist Church works to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Erwin, Tennessee and beyond.
We’re fully committed to the belief that Jesus Christ is the only hope for the world and we desire spiritual renewal and Christ-centered Living. We make the kingdom of God a priority in our lives and welcome all who would like to learn of the Good News.
For the last 30 years we’ve had a dream of a new facility to help our ministry efforts in Erwin and in 2016, this dream was realized. With the facility, we are better able to serve our community and provide a safe place for residents now and for generations to come.
Meet Our Leadership
David Crutchfield
Senior Pastor
Pastor David Crutchfield accepted the call as Senior Pastor for Calvary Baptist Church on April 17, 2005. Prior to that, David served with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention in Eastern Europe for eight years in the country of The Republic of Moldova. This is where David met his wife Janna, they wed and moved to East Tennessee. They have six children, Jonathan, Daniel, Anna, Nathanael, Elizabeth and Malachi. David received a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
